Teaching Philosophy: The learning process is effective when students are able to apply what has been taught or covered in the classroom to every day situations; they have not just taken information and applied it only to an exam or in a written report. The curriculum in the courses I teach is synthesized when students use and apply the material in class discussion, in every day conversation with friends, or in another course. Given the nature of the material I teach, Speech Communication, the tools learned in my courses are intended to be used in the world outside of my classroom.
